I greet with great pleasure
i am looking for either service manual or schematics of Turntable BIC model 80Z
Most of the servicing required for vintage TTs is a matter of cleaning off old grease and re-lubing. You will need to pull the platter (remove the spindle, then the round metal clip where the spindle inserts, then pull the platter up). The auto shut-off mechanism needs to be clean or it will hang up. You might need to soak things like the bearing assembly in alcohol or cleaner to get the old grease off. I use acetone but you must be very careful with it as it can destroy some plastics and paint. When you pull the platter you can inspect the idler wheel and the mechanism it attaches to; it should move freely. The idler should be soft rubber; if not, it may need to be replaced--try cleaning the edge first with alcohol. Check the motor shaft that contacts the idler--it should be clean. Also clean the inside of the platter that touches the idler tire. The motor can bind also; the shaft should move freely. You can service AC motors but the procedure is a little involved; try a few drops of oil but keep it away from the section that contacts the idler.
Thanks you for your reply, i cleaned all mechanical parts an re-lubricated again. turntable mechanically works well, i am lookin for service manual in order to perform electrical adjusments in electronics section.
