Can anyone tell me what an E-22 code is?
Is it an easy fix or something left to a pro?
If disc turns properly and after cleaning the eye you have same error-E-22-beter change the player. The laser eye module is too expensive.
E-22 means the laser eye is unable to read the disk and E21 refers to the motor that turns the disk is not functioning. If the disk is not turning or no turning at the proper continuous speed the laser eye will not be able to read it. On this macine the laser eye and the drive motor system are a single unit .Try to clean the laser eye with the special cleaning disc-if disc turning properly.
From what I understand the laser eye is pretty much bullet proof. An E-22 means essentially that the disc is not spinning. Is the disc belt driven and if so what might be the part number or size?
Reason why I ask is that I did have an E-22 code on a unit. The technician refurbished the entire unit to the tune of $275.00(more than its worth) and mentioned that the belt was the last one for that unit available. I tend to doubt him but who knows. Thanks for your input.
The laser eye must be in a internal position when starts to read.Spinning-i thing you can hear it.
Open the try and put a disk in it and remember what position the label is in.Then close the try and whan you get the e22 error open the try and see if the label is in the same position. That will tell you if it is spinning and no reading or not spinning at all.
Thanks for your response. Excellent idea. I own 3 DC-113's along w/a Luxman R-117.
The R-117 powers a pair of Klipschorns & Chorus II's. Great units. I also own a Luxman R-361 as a backup to the R-117.
Belt drive part number:42A81427F02.Thing...Not sure.
I am happy if I've helped.:)Luck.
