I have installed an NAD 710 in my basement and would like to install a suitable antenna for good quality FM reception - any ideas gratefully received!
If you are too low and surrounding buildings choke signal you need a coaxial cable (75 ohm) connected to the appropriate connector to the receiver. Once brought forth cable high enough you can even use an ordinary car antenna.
Like this example. But I think that a greater willingness will make her alone. The dipole gives good results, but it should be well directed and he is simetric-300 ohm. You'll need a U-knee for 75 ohm asymmetric
Automotive antenna does not need such targeting and so much work, and gives good results.
The choice is yours!
