My Pioneer PL-400 has an issue with maintaining a constant 33 rpm, as it tends tro run a little slower. Is there an adjustment anywhere on the turntable for this or is there something else I can do to eliminate this problem?
I bought one of these brand new many many years ago which ran slow on both 45 and 33. The shop sold it as faulty.
On the bottom is a series of small holes. Near the front in the middle are two such holes (not the recessed ones). If you look carefully you will see just below the holes adjustable resistor tracks.
The one nearest the front adjust the speed on 45
The one just behind adjusts the speed on 33
Have a twiddle the strobe light will tell you when you have it right.
( make sure you do not use a metal screw driver that can short out on the metal bottom) I think I used a nylon screwdriver (the whole screw driver was a hard nylon, not just the handle)
