my NAD 4155 tuner has probably a capacitor (super cap) for backup which doesn't work . It "forgets " the presets. where is it located?
C213 is your memory capacitor (47,000uf 5.5 volt) It is above the TC9147 IC (42 pin IC) It should be green and round, unless it has been replaced in the past. I usually use .1F or .15F, which is 2 or 3 times the original rating--it just takes a little longer to charge them up.
Yes!!! I found it. Thank you .Is this cap responsible for station memory?
Yes, it supplies power to the IC so memory won't go away. You can get them on eBay for a few dollars.
