It's NOT an amp, although it DOES have a separate headphone amp built in, it's just the meters and knob controls used with Mitsu's DA-A7DC (50W,) or DA-A10DC (100W,) or DA-A15DC (150W) amps. The "M" means meters, while the "A" designation after the dash means amplifier. A "P" designation means preamp, or a preamp/tuner combo. Those DC amps come with no volume/balance/tone controls, so a preamp is essential. I use a Nakamichi CA-5 on my DA-A10DC, and I love it. Very underappreciated preamp with a fantastic phono section.
