Luxman M120A Speaker Connection

I have been given a Luxman M120A which after a bit of research I believe is quite a good amp!

It's used in a home DJ set up and I currently have a pair of Wharfedale floorstanders connected (6 ohm). I have just purchased a pair of Alesis monitors (4 ohm).

At the output terminals of the Luxman it states loads of 4 to 16 ohms can be connected, when using the 'Main' speakers only; and that loads of 8 to 16 ohms can be connected when using 'Mains + Remote'.

Basically, I just want to make sure I can connect my new Alesis and Wharfedales to the Main and Remote outputs without any major issues. I pressume the 'Main + Remote' rating of 8 to 16 ohms is the sum of the two connected pairs of speakers (i.e. 10 ohms in my case); as if this was the rating in parallel you would be hard pushed to get two sets of speakers to be at 8 ohms (would be two pairs of 16 ohms in parallel).

I never knew load 'matching' was so complicated!!
