Service Manuals

Many thanks, it's very usefull all of the schemas and manuals, thanks.

Power transistors

I think I shorted out the power output transistors on my 208 by attaching speakers while powered on. This happened once before in the 80's and I had a shop replace them. Any idea how to do this myself, maybe a picture of the circuit with transitors located? Maybe a source to buy them? Electronic shops are scarce today that can do this work. Thanks

Unless you have a knowledge of electronic amplifiers I would suggest you have a qualified technician do the job. There are often ather components associated with the output transistors that are going to be checked and replaced if they are bad, you also need to readjust the bias and dc off set, assuming you amplifier has them.
If you are in the Toronto area I can help you.

Pioneer sa 708 amp question

Hi
Newcomer here.
PLease help.
If amp comes on and no sound goes to speakers ,does valves need replacing-does it it even have valves?
Please assist,as I am stupid with this sort of thing.

Pioneer SA-708.

No valve in this amp. If no sound goes to speakers and headphone, check the protection relay.

Dead electrolytic caps

In that age of electronics its a time to change electrolytic capacitors. This is a very normal problem there. Nowadays there is a very good selection about high quality electrolytic caps available. And dont cost a fortune to change for 105*C ones. Very long life and reliable too. Mostly I use Philips brand for loyalty. I´ve got good service for long time.
