V-FET Integrated Stereo Amplifier (1975-78)
The Sony TA-5650 is rated at 50 watts minimum RMS per channel with an 8-ohm load from 20-20,000Hz and may deliver an instantaneous peak power much greater than the rated power.
The unit features dual phono inputs (with supplied shorting plugs when not in use) and two tape loops for simultaneous recording or direct tape duplication.
The TA-5650 can also be divided into separate units, pre-amplifier and power amplifier, to connect to other add-on components.
Finally, two pairs of EXT adaptor jacks are provided (one on the front panel and one on the rear) for use with a graphic equalizer, speaker equalizer, SQ adaptor (for quadraphonic sound) or a third tape recorder.
