As a tuner it is very good, quite sensitive fm, looks really cool. The writing is prone to wear. Other than that a reallynice tuner. Akai made a some really nice gear in this era

Picked up this tuner for $10 off EBay. Matches the amp I purchased and restored earlier this year $20. Here https://flic.kr/p/jK8wbj

Replaced lamps with LEDs and in the process of checking for degraded board components.

Looking for the Cassette Tape Deck to complete the set.

Punchy amp when connected to quality efficient speakers.

Use a Multimeter to check voltage, i think 9volt ac .
