Out of all the Reel to reels I now own, this unit was a reel time consuming unit to replace belts on! But after it was done, and all the switches and controls were well cleaned, it performed as if it just came out of it's shipping box! Really fun to show it off to others as this is an unusual deck.

re: X-2000S

Hi to all Akai owners I have just been given a x-2000 all seems to work but I want to maintain it. I am really happy with the unit and wish all owners all thr best for christmas 2015.

re: X-2000S

Does anyone know a good place who knows how to service this type of machine for all threes recorders in it and where to get the adapter to run the reels at 15 ips?
