Denon PMA 925R distortion

Severe distortion on both outputs indicated failure in a (regulated) supply.

In this instance the negative 16 volts supply was down (p.34 of the pdf on bottom).
I had to replace R706 100k. This can be done from top of the board.
About 100 volts are dropped here, so it became unusable. This may happen to other amps also.

Tr703, 704, 705 are required for starting 16V Zeners ZD705,
706 and regulators Tr701, 702 from a 5 volts line.

I have had this problem and thanks to your tips i did not have to look further.
Luckily it was the same fault and part that was causing this problem.
