Over the last 35 years I've owned many top speakers from top brands. In the same period I've heard houndreds or even thousants speakers of all kind by my audiophile friends, audio shows, professional studios, hifi shops. I came into touch with Deltas relatively late, some 3-4 years ago in the the house of my friend. He has bought them almost accidentally from some Berlin Tonstudio.
Speakers were in the rather heavy used condition, driven with average hifi Marants amplifier. Despite of that, the sound coming from them amazed me strongly. They've shocked me positively even more during my next visit when my friend drove them with PP tube amplifier. I've started to search for my own copies of Deltas and after some time I've bought a pair from Munchen/Germany. It took another months to renew and fine tune all drivers, elements of crossover, terminals. Actually my Deltas blow away any competition regardless of the price. They are so unique due to the ability to ideally merge three type of sound
1. Live PA type of sound. You always feel the musicians are with you in the same room. REALLY! :)
2. extremal studio precision and neutrality
3. audiophile pleasant sound
But what is striking most of all is the speed and dynamic. Sound is extremely distortion free, cristal clear. Nothing to compare to this, really. These cubes are so fast I haven't heard on any other speaker in this world. The bass is fundamental, deep and again fastest of all speakers I've heard before. Last but not least, you don't need too much power to rock the house. 97dB/m sensitivity allow to play very loud even with 4W power of SE triode amp.
For me this is definitive, genial, incomparable speaker of all times.
