I love this Integrated Amp! I was able to buy a very well kept HK6250 at a bargain price recently and could not be happier. This is a very muscular amp for its 45 w RMS per channel rating and can play quite loud. It has great dynamic punch. I am not hearing some of the delicate details that I would like to hear, but that may be a function of my listening room and the limitations of my speakers and speaker placement. Years ago I had some HK separates, HK 700 series purchased around 1983 and they were absolutely the best pieces of audio equipment I have owned, unfortunately I no longer own the separates. This amp comes close in listening satisfaction and I like the design very much, very classic looking, no frills, just solid well designed knobs and buttons, and understated graphics. This amp will coordinate well with older vintage equipment as well as more recent gear. I have also recently purchased a Yamaha RX-V577 AVR and in terms of musicality, there is no comparison. I purchased the HK amp because it was such a good value for the money, thinking that I would use it as a second system in the bedroom. After comparing the HK to the AVR, I HAD to set the HK up in my main listening area and the Yamaha is relegated to movie and tv only.
