One, coupled with a 4-channel decoder, it prepares you for the 4-channel FM broadcasts which will soon be a reality.

Two coupled to a discrete 4-channel tape deck or record player, it lets you enjoy 4- channel tapes adding JVC 5100 right now.

Three, teamed with the Sound Field Composer (SFCS) of JVC's 5100 Stereo Integrated Amplifier, it will let you enjoy your present 2-channel records and tape, plus today's FM stereo broadcast, in the new 4-channel format. Also right now.

In addition to its 4-channel ready capability, the 5540 gives you JVC's versatile Sound Effect Amplifier (S.E.A.) tone control system, an ultra sensitive FM tuner section, the latest circuitry and a complete array of input jacks.
