Auto Reverse Cassette Deck (1983)

add a review add a review

The JVC DD-V9 is the ultimate in convenience and precision convenience because it records and plays both sides of a tape automatically, and precision because it has three heads. You won't find another deck at any price that gives you this kind of best-of-both-worlds performance.

Thanks to the JVC quick auto-reverse mechanism, you can hear and record both sides of a tape automatically. The swivel combination head using the JVC exclusive Flip Reverse System allows uniform response in both directions of tape travel, and the jewel-lock system means peak performance for years. Reverse action is silent and quick - no more than 0.4 seconds.

Unusual for an auto reverse, the DD-V9 features a three head configuration with an SA recording head. Now you can monitor your recordings as they're being made in either direction. This configuration also gives you extended high frequency response and low noise.

Using three motors, the highly accurate tape transport of the DD-V9 is simplicity itself. The capstan motor is of the accurate Pulse Servo direct-drive design; its coreless design completely eliminates jerky motion (cogging), which means extremely low wow and flutter.

The B.E.S.T. tuning system automatically compensates for tape to tape differences in bias, equalization and sensitivity to give you flat frequency response. It takes only 15 seconds on the average.

Index Scan lets you hear the first ten seconds of every song on a tape. Blank Search seeks out the end of recorded material on an unfinished tape.

Block Repeat lets you repeat between any two points on the counter. The digital multifunction counter gives you four useful timing and counting modes.

Dolby C noise reduction has rendered tape hiss utterly inaudible, even during the softest passages. A MPX filter assures correct response when recording off the air using Dolby.
