I have one of these. It is a great system made in Japan by the Trio-Kenwood Corp. In fact, mine is badged with the Trio name and logo (UK 240v AC mains version), otherwise appears identical to the Kenwood badged model pictured on this site.
Trio has pedigree in professional communications equipment and the case of the KR-2090 is designed for compatability with industry standard 19 inch rack mounting and has two tapped holes on either side for the brackets.
So it's a serious piece of kit and delivers no more than 0.1% total harmonic distortion.
Tuning in to radio stations is a joy thanks to the classic, heavy flywheel lurking behind the large tuning knob. All the controls are silky smooth and operate without making noticeable noise.
Not bad for a system that's now well over 30 years old!
