I have two of these receivers, and they are both very strong performers. I had to restore both of them to some extent. The sound is astounding with good speakers. I just recently married off a daughter, and one of these, plus a pair of Bose 901s, provided the sound for the reception party. It was outside, next to a lake, yet the system had no problem overcoming the lousy acoustics. The microphone plug-in was very handy for the usual wedding announcements. There were many compliments on the sound and music, which was provided by a laptop computer, connected by a y-plug through the AUX input.
