Modern techniques of recording, broadcasting, film, and television have made equalizers indispensable to the control of tone quality as well as an integral part of creative expression.

The UE 100 is capable of reproducing known frequency response curves, compensating for frequency dependent losses in transmission, and adjusting playback tone color to the individual desires of the artist and sound engineer.
