Top amplifier,,i use mine with audio research sp11 mk2, accuphase trans,, wadia dac, lp12,ittock lv2, and sonus faber extremas,,. It gives everything i need, soundstage, nice bass, not too heavy, refined treble, not too fatiguing, obviously i would like a bit more power for the extremas, but it plays at more than adequate levels for my enjoyment!! I have owned a few of the older class a ksl krells in the past, and although they sound ok bass wise, the treble i found was characteristically glassy! Which i found to be the case with the 3 i have owned. This one is the only one i have been able to listen to for more than one hour! I thought i would take a chance once again getting another krell and i chose this one,,and i am glad i did!
