With sustained plateau bias the amplifier stays much cooler and uses considerably less power to perform in Class A than Krells precedor amps.

At 185lbs the fit and finish is still world class.

The sound of the Krell is very detailed without being harsh, midrange is fleshed out but not forward nor overemphasized and leaning to neutrality and bass is fast and deep-what you expect from Krells. Vacuum tube lovers (myself being one) look elsewhere if you wish to attain the lush mids and bloom in the bass, KSA excels in other areas.

The Krell represents tremendous value in todays market.
