Good beginner amplifier with good and simple circuit, lots of upgrade potential. I have recapped with Muse and Fine Gold Nichicon, uprated the filter caps to 10000uF, replaced defective volume pot to a stepped attenuator with DALE resistor, speaker binding posts modified to take banana jacks. Defective out put transistor changed. The light driver resistor uprated to 5W. It's now an excellent sounding amplifier.
