Beautiful Luxman sound but can tend to be unreliable. Highly recommend to any audiophiles .

re: Replacing the power cord on R-1050 or 1070

I own an R-1050 and an R-1070 and recently started looking into replacing the stock, non polarized 2-prong power cord on one of them. As my current finances do not allow me to purchase the preamp/amp I would like to buy, I thought of this as possibly an affordable way to improve sound quality.

Has any of you done this and found it worthwhile? If yes, what brand of cord/wire and plug and inlet have you used, IEC or AC?

I have never seen the inside of any of my amps and do not know whether it is feasible to connect a new cord at the same place as the stock one and to replace a 2-prong cord with a 3-prong one. If I do this, I will have a competent technician do it. Also, I will probably do it on the 1070 first as I prefer the sound of the 1050 and do not want to run the risk of degrading my 1050 without testing this first on the 1070. Does this make sense?

All comments and advice are welcome.

Thank you very much in advance,

re: R-1070

Stactic when the volume is down, can be q301 or q301a in the preamp.
