McIntosh MHT100 repair, may apply to 200 also

MHT 100 does not power up or only for a short time:

Have a look at switching power supply on the side where the power input is.
This is from China Meanwell type PT65C and easily available.

The rated output voltages are +5, +15 and -15 volts on the multiconnector.
Check from top on the main board. 5V are on the middle pins. If too low try
to adjust with the white pot on the supply board, only slightly above, say 5.1volts.

Save "lifetime" of the supply by switching the unit off with the black main switch.

Thiese hints may apply to type MHT 200 also. In the 200 service manual this
supply is called "backup supply" and is said to be adjusted to even 5.3 volts.

MHT 100 and 200 look alike from what I can see in the papers for 200.

re: McIntosh MHT100 repair, may apply to 200 also

The service manual says to "SET R1 FOR 5.3VDC AT PIN 2 OF CONNECTOR CN2"
