re: DR-3

Hello NAK Fans,

please help me to solves my problem!

For my Nakamichi DR-3,

I need a new or alternate reelmotor
Where can i find or buy such motor.

My broken motor is a Sankyo BHS7B05-20608-A

2-Heads, 3 motors, 20-20,000Hz freq resp, 0.06% wow & flutter

This deck has amazing specs and includes a fine bias control.

The buttons are logic controls. Super responsive and fast.
Records with brilliant clarity, making Chrome/Metal tapes almost unnecessary. I have been using TDK-D Type I tapes for my Sony Walkman and the warmth, detail and sound reproduction are unbelievable.

My 2 cents on 2-Head vs 3-Head
I have had 2-Head and 3-Head decks over the years. 3-Head decks are nice when you want to monitor the recording levels of the tape during the recording process. This is not a mandatory feature. The DR-3 has a 20-20,000Hz frequency response with 2 heads. It will record and play back cassettes with quality that rivals any cassette deck.

The DR-3 is a 2-Head, 3 motor cassette deck with a 20-20,000Hz frequency response and less than 0.06% WTD RMS wow and flutter. The deck is not loaded with unnecessary bells and whistles. The playback and recording capability rivals most high-end cassette decks.
