The Pioneer LX-690 is a LW/MW/FM stereo 3-band receiver utilising the same MPX IC, tone control and NFB circuitry as the SX-690.

A high gain, low-noise FM front end achieves high sensitivity thanks to a combination of 3-gang variable capacitor and dual-gate MOS FET.
