A class A Pioneer project, still operate superb as integrated amp or separate, great equalistaion, and quality Phono stage.

Bought new in the early 70's.

Bought new in the early 70's. After years of daily service.. the output relay would drop out. I pulled it and went to my NAK system one. Still have both, including tuner and RT 2020 R to R. As of now, Using two vintage Crown DC 300's with a SoundCraftsman pre amp.
Now armed with a schematic (thanks to this fine site) I'll open her up and take a peek...

This is my amp since 1974. During 2010 the electr. capacitor has been replaced and with the service manual the amp was restored as new. This amp was a PIONEER CLASS A project and is still playng as a preamp with a power tube amp. The sound coming out is incredible. I hope this manual can help someone to do the same.

Great amp! I bought one in 1973 and used the heck out of it until I burned something up in it. No repair could find the problem. I kept it for years eventhough it was useless, finally let it go two years ago.
I burned it up playing "Smoke on the water" somewhere in the late 70's, full blast on a pair of Marantz speakers. The neighbors were happey when it blew.
I'm happy to know yours is still kickin!
