Radioshack Pro-Logic Decoder Amplifier
Dolby Surround Audio Decoder (1993)
The Radio Shack Dolby Pro Logic Decoder/Amplifier will dramatically affect your home video system's performance.
Perhaps you have spent hundreds (or thousands) of dollars on your video system, but are still listening to the sound through a small TV speaker. Or, you might have connected your TV or VCR to your stereo system so you can use the stereo system's speakers.
In either case, adding the decoder/amplifier is a giant step forward. It transforms your video system room into a miniature movie theater. It decodes and reproduces the Dolby Surround effects you hear in professional theaters - the effects that the moviemakers want you to experience.
Aircraft no longer fly across the TV screen; they fly across the room! You are part of the movie, not just a spectator.
In addition it offers these features to further enhance your system's audio performance:
Two 20-Watt Amplifiers - provide 20 watts per channel of power for the center and rear-channel speakers, so you do not need additional amplifiers.
Three Selectable Center Channel Positions - let you tailor your system to the speakers you are using.
Three Selectable Surround Modes - let you easily use the surround sound Pro Logic Amplifier with three different modes including Pro Logic, 3-channel logic, and music. You choose the desired mode with the turn of a knob.
Front and Rear Controls – let you perfectly adjust the surround sound and center channel effects to suit your room's acoustics and the placement of your speakers.
Test Tone - lets you test each channel to be sure it is working and helps you precisely set the speaker volume levels.
Dubbing Output - provides a convenient way for you to record the surround sound amplifier's input source.
