One of the best R2R machine ever produced and with a rare 3 quartz controlled speeds and a built in mixer with RIAA preamplifier and tone control.
Very robust mechanics and discrete electronic components, even if sometimes electronics gives some troubles but always repairable. Easily calibrable with almost any type of tape. Excellent sound, especially the 2 track decks!

My A700 is a 2-track, 3.75, 7.5, and 15 IPS machine. The Nakamichi 1000 I purchased in Japan in 1974--my debut tour there as a pianist--showed this machine attached to a REVOX.
