The Roberts 990 is a four track, stereo tape recorder which will record and playback four track stereo, and four track monaural tapes. It will also playback two track stereo tapes.

It operates at tape speeds of 15, 17-1/2 and 3-3/4 ips with equalization provided.

Reel size: 3, 5 or 7 inch reel

Equalization: NAB

Tape speeds: 3 34  7 12  15 ips

Wow and flutter: 0.12% (7 12 ips)

Frequency response: 40Hz to 15kHz (7 12 ips)

Signal to Noise Ratio: 50dB

Valve complement: 6AR5, 6BQ5, 6X4, 12AD7, 6267
