AM/FM Stereo Receiver (1975-77)
The Sansui 551 is an IC-equipped FM/AM stereo receiver which thanks to CBM (Circuit Board Module) construction techniques, offers superb electronics at a modest price.
You get high-gain IC (integrated circuits) in FM, AM sections and phono equaliser, 20 watts per channel driven into 1000Hz, extremely low distortion and power to drive even large stereo speaker systems. In a word, outstanding performance.
Features include: wide FM stereo separation, complete selection of inputs and outputs, outputs for two pairs of speaker systems, filters, FM muting and loudness controls.
Tuning range: FM, MW
Power output: 16 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)
Frequency response: 15Hz to 30kHz
Total harmonic distortion: 0.8%

Very smooth and sweet sound, the watts that are there are as good as any of the vintage stuff I've heard. If you dont need loud but like a full sound this is a gem.
