I purchased my AU-519 about a year ago from Craigslist. Got lucky - very good condition. Had it serviced by Doug in Portland. I love it. Very clean sound. Running it with Def Tech BP-6 speakers. No noise whatsoever. I listen to Internet Stations through iTunes. Also use a not so expensive DAC. Very happy with this unit.

Sounds really amazing. I really like the 1.0 V preout feature. Lucky to find at one of the local stores in excellent condition.

re: AU-519

My uncle gave this his barely used AU-519 to me as I would give it a chance and not just toss it in the trash. I had my tech clean it up internally and review it from front to back. It turns out mine is the one with 2 transformers instead of one. This amp is a powerful beast. I'm using it to power a pair of Ohm Walsh MicroShort SE speakers and the bass and clarity it can get out of these speakers is amazing. Also the headphone jack is quite powerful as well. I use BeyerDynamic DT770 600 Ohm headphones with the Sansui and it powers them with no problems at all. The Phono stage betters my Pluto phono preamp as well. I'm keeping this thing for a long time.

Please be advised though even though the speaker terminals look like they can accept banana plugs they can't. You have to unscrew the terminal and put bare wire in there then screw it back down. I rigged up some adapters to do so. I'm going to try the Monster cable soft pins next.
