I love mine. Warm and punchy at the same time. I've not recapped it yet but I can only imagine it will get better. I adjusted dc offset to zero and adjusted the idle current until I had volume increase all the way to top volume and no distortion and this thing just sings. It can be very loud as well with some high sensitivity speakers. This is a very worthwhile receiver.

I found my Sherwood S-7650 receiver at a Goodwill store in 1999. It was already well-used. I've used it to drive a DJ rig ever since. It doesn't kill with volume, and it has had a bit of a drop in sound quality in the last dozen years, but it still looks nice & gets the job done. Not bad for a $25 sticker price!
