Stripped down DAT deck with only one A/D convertor. Mechanism inevitably needs servicing after this time. Caps in servo and head amp will need changing. Worth the effort if you can live without 44.1kHz recording and the price is right; but as these are rare they tend to be on sale for silly money even when not working. Not the best Sony DAT deck overall but OK for archiving if serviced.
