A very nice ,solid, and simple reel to reel. Best operated laying flat, as the mechanical record buttons require a bit of effort to depress. This aspect and the recessed smallish volume controls are my only reason in not giving it a 10 rating, as it plays and records really well, is built like a tank inside, and is very minimalist and smartly styled, with a sharp sliding panel to conceal the record controls. Belt kits, (same as for TC-560), are available for under $30, and if you find one without a power cord, don't pass, please see my comment in the TC-560 section. This machine can run from 12VDC as well. They seem to be available for cheap and rather abundant. Worth picking up for sure.
