Never cared for Sony cassette decks in the 70's-80's but they got them right in the end. This was the last Cassette deck I bought new, around 96' or so? Best cassette deck I bought. Still running like new in 2015. No service either in 19 years. Better than my Pioneer and Technics by a long shot. (Both required 2-3 service episodes in the 3-5 years they were used).Tunable bias for each tape, 3 heads, rec monitor, infrared remote, headphone section is great.
Dolby S and MPX filter for FM. Auto music search that actually works!. Tapes indistinguishable from CD IMHO. Radio on standard tape sounds amazing. Can't go wrong if you see one of these working and for sale.
