This machine was one of the lower end machines, that came about in 1981-82 time frame. I purchased one new and while it was a nice machine it was not as reliable as the higher end machines. It cost less that $150, new, and the sell on ebay ( when you can find one for about $80-$100, For me it was a second deck for dubing from one machine to another. It died in 2002 so while it was a low end machine it did last quite a long time. When it died I was in the middle of a move, so gave it away, which I now regret... but that is just the way things go. I finally replaced it with a duel Teac deck.
