The AR-6 is designed to achieve the maximum performance available in a speaker of moderate cost.

An indication of the success of the design is the unusually accurate bass response and lack of colouration, even when compared to systems that are costly.

We don't know of many speakers with as good a balance in overall response, and nothing in it's size or price class has as good a bass end - Stereo Review
