No Sound but powers up

I just bought a Kenwood KR-4070 Stereo Receiver. I have had it hooked up for days it was perfect. All of a sudden I played my CD Player for a while today then switched it over to the radio & it totally quit producing any sound still powers up all lights work properly. What should I do?

Does anyone have a PDF copy of the service manual for a Kenwood KR-4070 receiver? I downloaded the instruction manual already.

Bad intermittent /arcing int. speaker sel.on/off switch

I realize this is a common problem with these type switches on Kenwoods of this era. any known fixes? It seems I arced the entire FM dial out , while the signal strength and center tuning still work fine...in addition to the stereo light ....any suggestions are welcome!

If you trace the power wires back to the board with the fuse on it, you will find two posts that can be tied together to by-pass the switch.
