Threshold Audio NS10

Stereo Pre-Amplifier

Threshold Audio
NS10

Description

The Threshold NS10 preamplifier represents design concepts and empirical performance that set new boundaries for the classification 'state of the art'.

No expense has been spared in it's engineering or construction to assure that it's extraordinary capabilities will remain virtually unchanged under years of the most rigorous usage.

The design of the NS10 follows Threshold's philosophy of keeping the signal processing circuitry as simple as possible; only two common emitter transistors are used in the gain stages of each channel.

Other components in the circuit are there simply to assure that these two transistors remain at maximum operating linearity substantially beyond the range traversed by the dynamics of the audio signal.

By eliminating the non-linearities which result from cascading large numbers of gain devices, particularly as found in operational IC chip modules, the necessity for substantial amounts of negative feedback is eliminated.
