Aiwa AD F810 Cassette deck.

Hello. I'm new here and have joined, hopefully to get some help with my fixing my Aiwa ad f810.
I've recently been given one that has no issues, apart from: it has no connecting belt from the front board, to the cassette area. I' m pretty sure this is a 15 pin belt. My question is, could I use any 15 pin connecting ribbon that fits? My apologies if this is a really dumb question, but i must start somewhere. Thanks.

Re: Aiwa AD F810 Cassette deck.

You can probably use a ribbon cable from a junked computer. The hardest part is stripping the insulation, then inserting each wire into the correct hole; good luck.

Thanks for the reply. oK. So It is just a line of cables that I need to connect the parts, I mean, do I not need to use a certain spec for voltages etc?

Re: Aiwa AD F810 Cassette deck.

I would think the highest voltage would be 12, so nothing special.

I hope to pick one up today, I'll let you know how I get on. Thank you for your help.

Quick update, still not sorted after getting a Raspberry camera ribbon, I think I went for the wrong pitch as it's not wide enough. The search goes on.
