Denon PMA 250III Stereo Amp

I have acquired a record turntable that produces "line out" and I am warned that I shouldn't connect to the "phono" terminals of this amp. Should I use the "aux" input?

If you connect turntable to "aux",and sound is too weak(even at high gain)-you must use "phono"input.
If sound is normally powerful-lets stay in "aux"
I think this is the safest way to check.

Re: Denon PMA 250III Stereo Amp

All quality turntables have magnetic cartridge, and need of preamp with RIAA correction built in the amplifier on the "phono" input. So you should connect your turntable to "phono".
It is possible that your turntable has a built-in preamp. Then you should use "aux"input.
But i don't know what brand is your turntable.
