HH Scott Transformer

I have a HH Scott TR12 18 5246744 transformer three secondary & four primery wires out of a HH Scott Steromaster 348-8 and need a data sheet of secondary voltage type if anybody can help.

Re: HH Scott Transformer

here is some info found on the internet, do you have a model number for the stereo, I have several Scott manuals but the model number starts with R or A orT

SELLING:

Up for auction/sale is one Scott TR-12-3-1 power transformer for Scott integrated tube amp or various models such as 222, 299, LK48. Please check the version (A, B, C, or D) in your amp to confirm it is a TR-12-3-1 if you are looking for a replacement. Please note that this transformer has the ≈50V winding for negative voltage in fixed bias circuit. Parts number and Code on end-bell is TR-12-3-1, 1005030. I tested by injecting AC voltage into the primary to confirm the secondary voltage, with no load, in the ballpark compare to official specs. All winding continuities checked okay with an ohmmeter. Selling AS-IS. What you see is what you get.

Great for parts, repair or restoration or DIY projects.

Primary: 117 VAC
Secondary: 360-0-360V, 150mA; 50VAC,150 mA; 6.3V, 5A, 5V, 2.0A
Net Weight: 7.5 pounds
Dimensions: 4 1/8" W x 4" D x 3.5" H
Parts number: TR-12-3-1, 1005030

*Ruler, soda can, and digital scale are for measurement only and are not included.*
WORKING CONDITION:

All windings continuities checked okay with an ohmmeter

Re: HH Scott Transformer

All well and fine, however the Scott 348 receiver is a solid state model, not a tube model.
So a transformer for a tube unit cannot be used in this application.
The information regarding the 348 is in the library.

Re: HH Scott Transformer

I need 348-8 as the library has different secondary wires. Five instead of my three.

Re: HH Scott Transformer

check the R 327 in the library, it may be similar to yours, it uses a 63.6 vac with a center tap to give + and - 43 vdc to power all the regulators. all my other Scott manuals use different taps for different regulators

Re: HH Scott Transformer

+ and - 43 is close to my measurements of + and - 50VDC after two industrial diodes. May have to look into 8 or B also. Thank you for all replies. Off to library, need to be sure because I am going to sell this transformer and some other parts on E-Bay soon.

Re: HH Scott Transformer

That would be a model 348-B, not "8"

Re: HH Scott Transformer

Thank you for info B not 8. Info of site of no use, wrong model numbers. No 348 transformer is right on the money as I see it but I have enough info to sell it on E-Bay.
