Pioneer A400 issue, maybe speaker protection?

Hello,

I've pulled out my A400 after a couple of years in (clean) storage and aren't getting any sound from any input to the speakers.

Prior to storing it used to 'pop' and lose output seemingly randomly.

I've been advised it could be the speaker protection, and not being overly technical, wonder if it's a fuse or a component that can be reset without soldering.

Both the top and underside of the board look pretty clean and no burns or similar.

Any advice would be welcomed prior to taking it to the doctor.

Thanks, JD.

I would clean the protection relay contacts first, then check bias on both channels.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm not sure I have the knowledge to access and clean contacts, and it appears from my limited research they are a "fully sealed" relay.

Being inexperienced I'll do some more homework and possible ask some more assistance.

regards, JD.
