pioneer sx750 - right speaker and bass/treble problem

i have a pioneer sx750, the right speaker has a sort of back ground rustling and crackling sound and the odd clicking sound on all functions even with the volume right down, the base and treble controls when moved makes no difference to the tone of the sound they both sound as if they are set at the zero or flat position. ( the tone switch is set correctly ). the radio side of the sx750 and aux and phono, play music fine although the volume is good but should be louder when turned right up. any ideas what the problem is ?

Spray/clean all switches. Carefully clean relay contacts. No sandpaper!

I would look for poor connections on the tone control board, or possibly bad capacitors on that board. You should also clean all controls and switches associated with tone control.
