Realistic STA-11 System Eleven D711 Diode/Relay Issue

Does anyone have the schematic for the STA-11 receiver? Perhaps some insight could be shed without it. Unit provides clear audio when the relay is manually bypassed or actuated. There is voltage available at the relay and the transistors on the relay board test good. I replaced some leaky caps on the board as well. The diode which goes across the coil leads of the relay is shorted. Appears to be a zener (regulating voltage to the coil perhaps?) but has no markings. It is labeled D711. Any ideas as to the rating of part number of this diode?
Thanks in advance for any help someone might have.

Installed a 1N4007 in there and all is well, voltage drops to 24.56v with the relay as a load. Thanks so much for the insight everyone! Another discarded unit saved from hitting the trash and put back into service.

The diode across a relay coil is not a zener; it's just a common silicon rectifier. Anything about 200 piv at 1 amp will work OK. It's function is to stop back EMF created by the coil that would destroy the transistor that delivers current to it.
