Replacing Bulbs for VU Meters Pioneer RT 707 Open Reel

Need help in changing bulbs in a Pioneer RT 707 Open Reel. Would this be any harder than changing the directional indicator bulbs, which I did sometime ago? I used the LED conversion for the Directional lights, just wondering if anyone offers a LED conversion for the VU Meters as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RT707 = that takes me back :) - Personally I would not use LEDs in the meters. Reason being they do not offer the same "spread" of difused light that the normal grain of wheat bulbs do. Just my 2 cents worth. John, in the West of the UK

Hi Yeah, takes me back too! I agree with your feelings toward LEDS as well !

Just wondering whether you know anything about replacing various lamps
in the vintage Nakamichi "System One" components, i.e.; 600, 600II, 610,
620, 630.

I just picked up enough components to put together another complete
"System One" rack, but need to replace several lamps, bulbs, etc. . I've
searched around, but can't find any info specific to these components in
replacing them "correctly".

Any ideas?

Thanks, Rick
