Sanken S-80W Darlington Power Packs

Does anyone know what receivers and amps used these Silver case Sanken S-80W Darlington Hybrid Output chips. I recently came across a bunch of these (Originals in storage since the 80's), and am trying to find receivers and Amps that used them. I have opened the case of 1 and confirmed that they are originals and not clones. They are very simple single channel Darlington arrays (2NPN's, and 2 PNP's), with built in emitter resistors, 2 other resistors, and a diode. No Drivers or other components found in other STK or TA types.

Re: Sanken S-80W Darlington Power Packs

If you still have these, i'd be interested in acquiring two of them to replace s60w in a Setton receiver.

Bert

Re: Sanken S-80W Darlington Power Packs

The Pioneer SX-650 uses two SP-40W's.

Re: Sanken S-80W Darlington Power Packs

Cybernet CR 110 and CA 110 uses those S-80W sanken modules.
Setton RS-440 and Lafayette LR-5555A are VERY similar.

Re: Sanken S-80W Darlington Power Packs

The S-40W is found in a Pioneer integrated amp , and the S-100W in the Kenwood KR9600, but I've never encountered an S-80. The good news is it should replace the S-40W!

Re: Sanken S-80W Darlington Power Packs

Thanks for the response

But I think the Kenwood 9600 uses the "TA-200W" Sometime marked with TRIO, other times maybe Sanken
Pioneer KA-7300 Integrated amp uses the "TA-80W
Pioneer KA-9100 Integrated Amp uses the "TA-100WA"

These "TA" chips are quite a bit different than the Sanken "S" chips as they had drivers and other circuits as well as the darlington outputs in them. The Sanken "S" chips have only darlington pairs, emitter resistors 3 or 4 other resistors and a diode.

Do you know what Pioneer model you believe the "S40W" was used in?

JVC JA-S11 uses Sanken S-40W
