Hello Everyone,

Looking for Help !! I have a yamaha Ca-810 stereo amplifier , but i need to replace the damaged
volume / balance knobs and pots. I have no idea where to look for something like this , and i am hoping not to have to buy another unit. I am not a purist, and would be willing to Mcgyver something that would get that baby playing sweet music again, if someone has any solutions along that line . Thanks for reading my post!!

Re: yamaha CA810

Hi Buck,

What is the issue with your volume / balance pot? Have you tried Caig De-Oxit?

Re: yamaha CA810

Hi Bob,

Thanks for replying, The volume knob is broken off and the remaining shaft from it is broken off inside of the Balance "tube" it sets in.

Thanks Bob

Re: yamaha CA810

Hi Buck,

I have seen similar problems repaired by drilling a teeny tiny hole into the volume control shaft and the control itself. Then epoxying the drill bit into both pieces to provide the link. I have never done this myself, but I would definitely give it a try.

I searched ebay and found these which look like what I remember the control looked like on that model.

Re: yamaha CA810

Bob, thanks so much for taking the time to help me out. Yes, both options might work. It is such a

beautiful piece of equipment and I want to see it playing again , as it should be. And because of you it

will be soon!

Many Thanks!!
