yamaha rx-595

works on cd amp only. input selector switch funky (bad?). function p.c..b. 6 comprised of two boards soldered together, one for the motor driven input selector and one for the manual rec out selector. do i need the whole assembly or can i desolder and solder in a new motor driven input selector?

Re: yamaha rx-595

I would look for bad solder connections first; the switch may be OK. If even one connection looks bad I would resolder every connection--you don't want to have to disassemble that baby again.

Re: yamaha rx-595

thanks. i have repaired/restored a couple older bally pinball machines and priority thing on boards is to run new solder on all the pin connectors. so i get it. and you are right, getting the cd amp/pure direct board out of the way is difficult.
